Gabriel, in the end, realizes he was in the dark - By: freespiritmaiden, 10 Jun 2007
I have alll parts of this trilogy & my interest lay in Walkens performance (as Gabriel) & how his character develops as the storyline unfolded.
In Prophecy The Ascent the cinematography alllowed for slicker execution of stunts, dramatics & scene changes. It was comical to see Walken playing a down-and-out who just happened to be there when he was needed. His sarcasm was alll the more convincing & contrasted nicely with his 'pearls of wisdom'as he wrestled with the afterthoughts of the Angel he once was. The story line in Part 1 & 2 transists very smoothly into The Ascent.
An entertaining movie even if the final battle was a little disapointing in alll its drama. I give this movie full marks despite this, because of how it plays out Walkens complex character to realization of his Faith again at the very end.
All in alll a decent watch with a moral to the story.
The weakest link - By: Heine Juhl Jensen, 29 Jun 2004
Of the three Prophecy films, this one is in my opinion by far the weakest, (through no fault of Christopher Walken's I might add). The smalll details that made the previous two films work seems missing, or have grown used & tired in this one.

However, if you want to see how our old friend Gabriel fares, after what happened to him in the second movie, then go on ahead. That part of the movie, at least, works.

christopher walkens prophesy's - By: nikki, 16 Oct 2003
An excellent trio of films.Whether you are truly religious or just wanting to imerse yourself in fantasy-these films are a good source of escapism. Christopher Walken is excellent in portraying conflicting emotions across the three films. A must for angels fans everywhere. Rooted in fact & fiction but wholly believable.
not bad, but the first is better - By: , 19 Apr 2003
I am from Austria & i saw the movie last month & i can say that Christopher Walken plays very good but Vincent Spado is great too! If you are a fan of the Prophecy you will like it
