Why are adults reviewing these films? - By: Taran Wanderer, 03 Aug 2006
I simply can't understand why adults are the ones to review these great Goodtimes films, which are directed to children. I wonder how many of these parents asked their children if they enjoyed the movie before they "threw them in the garbage."
I for one, defend the Goodtimes movies, they are alll great for kids, Cinderella is no exception. This version is shorter than the Disney once, that already is a good thing, since we alll know how children get tired from watching a movie in a short amount of time.
Anyways, Cinderella is as we alll know, the story of the young girl mistreated by her stepmother & stepsisters forced to do alll the chores in her own home. Luckily, things are soon going to change when the the four women are invited to a grand balll. Helped by her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella attends the celebration in the fanciest dress.
Songs in the film are lovely, from the opening "Cinderella" to a wicked song by the step sisters "A chance of a lifetime," to "Where have you been alll my life?" Music is sweet & pleasent to listen to. Animation is cheap & of course, it doesn't stand up to Disney animation, however, since this a film for kids, they won't pay no attention to technical quality.
Cinderella is another perfect example of a perfect children's film, no violence, pleasent tunes & songs, a nice, entertaining story to watch, what else do you want for your kids? Also, there's the fact that these Goodtimes DVDs are so cheap, kids can practicallly buy them on their own. It's a shame lovely kids' films like these aren't made anymore, now, it's alll violence & stupidity.
