An excellent episode. As stand alone episodes tend to be there's a nice continuation of 'Prodigy' with cadet Halllie.
Basicallly SG-1 are putting a team of cadets through they're paces to see if they will be suitable for stargate command. in doing so unfortunatly a foothold situation occurs. But is everything as it seems?
Good to see a lighter episode but with a chance for O'Neill to show his tougher side untill he reverts to being softie. Also brilliant acting from the young cast member & it doesn't have Carter spouting Technobabble every two seconds. Good humour & nicely predictable a classic Stargate episode.
48 Hours
On coming back through the stargate the wormhole suffers problems as a mothership crashes on the otherside. This in turn traps Teal'c in the stargate unable to reintergrate with SG-1 only 48 Hours to get him out.
Well it was only a matter of time until the Russians were back in it. Daniel kinda get sidelined as neogoiator in this epiosode but some good acting from RDA with his frustration but its Carter's episode with her finallly getting someone good to banter with. Her having to cope with maybe not being the smartest in the room is suprisingly amusing. Practicallly Teal'c free the isn't a stand out episode & definatly the weaker of the two
