The least successful quartet of series 8 - By: Petrides Antonis, 02 Nov 2003
This is the least successful quartet of episodes in Series 8, though saying this one should be reminded that even if by "Friends" standards 8,17-20, is something of an anticlimax, the comedy included in this DVD is way more hilarious than anything circulating in the market today! From the four episodes, I would single out some choice moments of TO in Massapequa & TOW the Baby Shower. TOW Joey's interview indulges too much in what was in other cases a successful vehicle of humour, the flashback. TOW with the tea leaves is not remarkable either. The extras include some additional action, which does not always add much to the edited version.
fantastic - By: , 31 Aug 2002
this fabuless freinds video is well worth getting from the one with the tea leaves when: rachel makes up a lie so that joey (who in the last video told rachel he loved her) + her would have somthing 2 talk about but when lieing can't thinkof anything but "my boss wants to bye my baby!" to the one with the baby shower where monica forgets to invite rachels mum, & the guys play "bamboozel" a new game show joey has an adtion 4. Over alll the pnultmet series of friends is the best out of alll 8. 5 stars *****
Worth buying without a doubt - By: , 11 Jul 2002
Season 8 isn't the best of friends seasons but by no means is it the worst, & I would recommend this volume to any friends fan. My favourite episode on this video is probably the one with the baby shower- just for Joey, chandler & Ross playing the new game which is hilarious. We also get to see a glimpse of the old, preliving with Monica Chandler. He still isn't anywhere near as funny or important as previously but he gets more time in this season than from season 6 onwards. If you are not a big Rachel or Ross fan this volume will annoy you as it is centred mainly on them- & yet the ever brilliant Matt Le Blanc is the best thing about this season. Overalll I am glad I bought it & any Friends fan will be too.
