Well, what can I say? This is in my alll time top 5 WORST FILMS EVER list. I tell theeeeee, this is soooo poor that I nearly spooned my own eyes out!
Thanks to Blue Jean Cop I have lost 92 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I could have been throwing baked beans alll over the lounge or parading in a nappy, but instead I was punishing myself with this insult to celluloid.
Give yourself a laugh & please watch it.

I'm sorry,but the rule is...if you like certain films as a kid,you'll still like 'em as an adult,no matter how bad they turn out to be.A perfect example is Blue Jean Cop(aka Shakedown)a late '80s action/thriller.
It's got well above average dialogue & plot for a bargain basement cop movie,although the latter us jettisoned at the end for a so-bad-its-actuallly-hilarious blue screen climax.What actuallly saves this from obscurity are some excellent displays of ballls to the walll stuntwork,and the much loved Sam Elliot.The man is a legend in his own right,with every performance a treasure.He can make bad movies extremely watchable(Roadhouse,a repressed gay love story,trust me it's there)and compliments classy ones(The Big Lebowski,genius)simply by turning up.
Like so much else in the genre,Blue Jean Cop is completely unbelievable,making something like Lethal Weapon or Die Hard look like a fly-on-the-walll documentary but yet still manages to be enjoyable because it knows it's rubbish,it just doesn't care.
