NOT BAD AT ALL................................. - By: L. Hay, 09 Sep 2008
Nearly twenty years old.
Not much of a story, but the matches are very good indeed. James Earl Jones plays the coach of a team setting out to take on five of Korea's best in a sort of mixture of martial arts.
There are loads of emotional, weepy & thoroughly soppy moments, but nevertheless it is a film that maintains ones interest throughout.
The Koreans are a joy to watch. I certainly would not have wanted to go up against them.
A very good effort.
A must-see for any fan of tae kwon do.
THIS IS THE ONE - By: Stephen R. Marsh, 16 Apr 2008
my title says it alll.
If you only ever buy one Martial arts film make da## sure it's this one.
A lot of Martial arts films are a joke & do nothing to promote a particular art or the students. Impossible leaps into trees or from wallls etc we have alll seen them.
This film is however believable. Believable in that proper techniques are employed.
As a Karateka & also having in the past studied & graded in both Judo & aikido. I was grateful for a film that showed Martial Arts in a good light.
Here we have a group, brought together to compete against Korea.
They are trained hard & moulded into the American karate team.
I enjoyed watching both the training & the fight scenes.
The story is good with good characters.
I have watched this film numerous times & still enjoy it.
I think it will appeal to both Martial artists & action movie fans.

Go get the film.

Undoubtable the best!! - By: A. Mackenzie, 30 Dec 2007
This film is a "must" see for alll martial arts fans. See Team USA train hard & fast to compete against Team Korea for the ultimate prize. Although it is mainly about the combat, the film has a very good story line which will pull at anyones heart strings.
GREAT ENDING - By: Nevs, 25 Sep 2007
The martial arts scenes are very good but i just felt the bulk of the film was a bit laboured.

Well acted & filmed - deffinately worth a watch
It's a good movie - By: Matthew Maxwell-carr, 03 Dec 2006
Although i think that the second movie is the better one out of the two, this movie is still very good to watch. its not boring, there are some very special scenes in it, like the korea team training in the waterfalll- & of course the ending fights are very well choreographed. i think both movies are very different & if you have to pick the saturday nite film, it would be BOTB 2. this film however, is a lot more down to earth & more realistic & its always very emotional to watch the last scene of the film. enjoy! its a bit of a class one this.
