Dreadful - By: Willian King, 20 Feb 2008
a truly awful film watched it on the strengh of Depp & Walken, what a mistake, a ridiculous story line, over the top acting from Walken & typical Holywood ending so predictable. Speaks volumes for a film when the best lines went to a 4 yr old kid, avoid this film like the plague.

As a big johnny depp fan i usuallly expect his films to have a bit more of an interesting plot than this one did. Film was ok but the stoyline was alll a bit too predictable for me.
Touching.... - By: Shell, 09 Aug 2006
I bought this film to add to my collection of Johnny Depp films, & i must say i was very impressed! For a start Johnny looks absolutley gorgeous in this film & the way that his character shows so much love & protection to his daughter throughout the film, is extremely touching. He truely shows the love between a father & child & what lengths a parent will go to for their children.
The fact that it is filmed in 'real time' make it a lot more exciting, on the edge of your seat stuff. Throughout the film your wondering if or when hes going to pull the trigger to kill the government official, in order to save his daughter.
I reallly enjoyed this film & would highly recommend it!
9 out of 10 to be precise - By: Jim Piper, 15 Jul 2006
A film that will make you a Depp fan forever, add Christopher Walken who has Christopher Lee like talent for horror & a masterpiece is born. Sadly because of their brilliance the rest of the cast become almost irrelevant.
A split second introduction & off we go on a movie rollercoaster ride. Action packed, tense, & gripping to the end. True it's a theme that's been used before & yes there are a couple of "no way" moments but with so much action who cares.
Apart from being a crack marksman JD plays a very ordinary guy with no hidden superman qualities. Walken is a no nonsense leader of an assassination team. Both play their roles so realistacallly you almost forget they are actors.
The lack of high tech gadgets & lunatic car chases makes this film that little bit special & with 95% of the action totallly possible it's a MUST SEE thriller. The critics don't agree, the poor things are lost for words when a film isn't the biggest budget of alll time, doesn't have a highly controversial script or can't claim to be the most special effect packed blockbuster ever.
We the public have a different view, we just want a cracking good motion picture we can say we are glad to have watched.
