Best of the quadrilogy by miles! - By: Dooga, 21 Feb 2008
This film is absolutely hilarious. How it has been rated so low is baffling? It is silly, yes, but the funny type of silly. The jokes in the first one are more grown-up, & so many would find that funnier, but the funny parts here are more blatent & frequent. It is a hilarious mick-take of the exorcist (at the beginning) & other haunted house flicks. But it reallly is a big hit & I think it must be an opinion thing, see which kind of laughs & jokes that you enjoy best, but for me, this was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
HOW SENSIBLE DO YOU WANT IT TO BE ??? - By: L. Wilson, 29 Jul 2007
Get real!!! with a cast the likes of this, how can anybody imagine for one moment that anything other than sheer mayhem could ensue. I thought the film was one of the best spoofs that I have seen & Tim Curry played his part up to the hilt.

This film is better than than the original but probably not the predessors, this film just has brilliant comedy combined with the characters we related too in the original. Comedy is infested in this film with hilarious moments & brilliant characters, one of the best comedy spoof films of are generation because of the hilarity & undeniable comedy brilliance, buy this film...

funnier than the origanal!!!
Can not beat 3 or 4
(they were fantastic)
But better than the frist!!
The reason it is short
is because it gets straight to
the point!!
AMAZING, FUNNY, UN-MISSABLE
Much the same as the first, although not quite as good - By: Franklin T Marmoset, 01 Mar 2007
Spoof sequel Scary Movie 2 ditches the Scream element of part one & goes instead for those spooky house films like House On Haunted Hill & The Haunting.
Despite alll being killed in part one, the core gang is back for the sequel - Cindy (Anna Faris), Brenda (Regina Halll), Ray (Shawn Wayans), & Shorty (Marlon Wayans). Added to the cast are Tim Curry, Chris Elliott as a gross caretaker with a deformed hand, the eldest brother out of Malcolm In The Middle, the never nude out of Arrested Development, & Tori Spelling. They alll do pretty well, but Faris is the stand-out once again. I particularly enjoyed her fight scene with a cat.
Why does she not get top billing in these films?
As with the first Scary Movie, the humour is very much hit & miss, & they again lean too heavily on cheap dope jokes & gross-out moments. That said, enough of the jokes are on target that this one kept me laughing sporadicallly throughout. If you liked the first one, this sequel deserves a look.
