Could watch it once but not again for a while,they are a sexy pairing so not bad for a steamy thriller.

Far too much is made of this film simply because the main characters in it are lesbian. Rather than simply look at that if you just watch this film as an erotic thriller similar to Basic Instincts then you have a serious case of the yawn factor.
The film simply does not get going, for a suspense thriller you need well, suspense! The characters are just so dull you get the impression even the actresses are bored & are just praying for the director to say "Cut" so then can go home. The film just drifts along at a walking pace & no sorry, just because the main characters are lesbian is not going to convince me the film is any good.
A poor film that if you can sit through to the end you will be probably kicking yourself you just wasted & hour & a bit of your life when you could have been watching paint dry.
truly awful - By: Captain Lambs, 06 Aug 2006 I'm LOATHED to give this 1 star but you can't seem to rate it with zero stars...hmph. Anyway, the lesbian sub-plot of this film if basicallly just there for titillation, God only knows WHO exactly they were trying to titillate though! It was pretentious, unconvincing, & like the protagonist's sex life, utterly dissatisfying. If you're looking for a film which realisticallly portrays lesbianism, or even if you're just looking for a crime thriller, please, do NOT buy this film. It's nothing but an arty Basic Instinct, which just goes to show, you can't polish a turd...

Kelly mcgillis.....what a sexy, classy woman! Like a good bottle of wine, she has increased in flavour. From top gun in 86 to monkey mask in 2006....I preferred the latter.
I thought the movie was cleverly put together, one of those films you think about days afterwards....deep but not depressing. Susie Porter played a soft boyish type....a romatic at heart. Some good sex scenes without going over the top....well worth a watch! Poetic justice.
