I'm affraid I can't agree with the other reviewers comments. This is one of my favourite films of alll time. I have watched it again & again. The humour is black but to be savoured just the same; & Laura Saddler's performance is outstanding.

This off-beat film, sometimes amusing, sometimes serious, about a young man & his relationships with a mother & daughter - I won't reveal the plot - is supposed to be based on a true story. "True stories" don't always make for good films, though.

It held my interest until towards the end -- the dramatic high-point.

When the movie ended, though,I felt as if I had watched some good actors in a film that was a complete waste of time.
