One of the best movies - By: Robert Stryszyk, 25 May 2008
This is the Jurassic Park movie with the most action. Non stop Dino-hunt, the best sound in DTS very good Picture quality.
Not as good as the first 2 but ok still - By: Stampy, 09 Sep 2006
there is nothing wrong with this film - its just that there is no imagination & exctiment behind it as there was with the first

we alll remember the first - awash with excitment & mystery but with the two follow ups there is always predictabley - excitment but we know whats coming

the acting is accpetable by Neil but Tea Leioni has an awful character & makes me want to tear my hair out!

it is exciting but only watch it if you like the dinosaurs because the effects are stunning - the plot is constantly predictable & dull - alll the action scenes have been done before so don't expect anything extra

7/10
Too dumb for words - By: B. Chandler, 14 Apr 2005
It is always fun to see dinosaurs eat people. I like the chase scenes & the "stay in the car" scenes. Even the consumption of a satellite phone can be fun. But you can only dumb things down so much before losing any plausibility. In a mediocre movie you root for the creature to eat the dumb person that walks up to it & says, "Aren't you just the cutest thing?" In this one the characters are not worth eating. The story line & execution are so incredible that it does not matter that there are transparent to the viewer form the start. They should have went ahead & made it campy.

Basic story is paleontologist would not set foot on island of ancient creatures. Mysterious couple with lots of cash just wants him to point out the highlights from the air (yeah sure).

One item in the plus is Sam Neil has more than one expression.

No, it's so wrong!! - By: , 28 Nov 2004
I only gave this film 1 star because some of the effects were okay, but even then there are several VERY obviously dodgy CGI & model shots (the T-Rex & the now apparently red-eyed Brachiosaurs for instance).

I think this film is an insult to the series; not only does it make a story out of something that was BLATANTLY obvious in the first film - Oh my God, the Raptors are clever, they can talk to each other! DUH!! - but it throws in a typical cheesy-American-family-values ending. At least in the first film & in the second at a push, you wanted the people to survive, but in this one I wished they alll got eaten!!(But of course, the ones you do want to die don't.) Also, how the heck can they not have come across the massive & terrible Spinosaurus in the second film if it's on the same island?

Watch it for (some) of the good SFX, but only if you can stand the cheesy family reunion, laughable plot points & the fickle-headed characters who, after running terrified from nearly alll the dinosaurs, suddenly think it's wonderful that the Pteranodons have escaped & are migrating to the mainland. Whatever!!!

Stop giving the film such bad reviews - By: , 19 Aug 2004
I thought the film was great. The Lost world was a waste of time but this film had everything.I admit that the thing about the raptors being that clever was a bit over the top but apart fromthat i dont see whats so bad about it. The characters were great, i for one got emotionallly attached to some of them. The CGI is great too, i think the spinosaurous was a great idea because the t-rex had got a bit dull & was not sscary at alll. I think it was a great film & alll the actors deserve credit, especiallly alessandro nivloa (billy) who i thought was amazing.
