Mindless, campy British sexploitation from the early 70s - By: Daniel Jolley, 13 Sep 2004
Au Pair Girls is a prime example of the genre of saucy little sexploitation films that emerged out of campy British studios in the 1970s. Four foreign, nubile, young ladies come to England to better their English while serving in the households of sponsor families. Don't expect a documentary of the au pair work experience because the only thing these girls do is take off their clothes & engage in some 1970s sexual shenanigans. One of them is actuallly rather virginal, but that doesn't last long - not after she meets up with Ricky Strange, the most inexplicably popular pop star I've ever seen. Ol' Ricky looks like the evil, disgusting twin of John the Baptist. One girl, played by Me Me Lai (I kid you not) actuallly seems somewhat serious & industrious, but the unbridled geekiness of her new charge proves to be more than she can resist. Then you have a Swedish girl who couldn't outsmart a piece of paper. Oh, it's just horrible and, frankly, pathetic - although I have seen much worse than this.

I suppose alll the nudity was wild & crazy back in 1972, but now it's just rather boring, & the men are just disgusting. This is the kind of movie that makes me want to get down on my knees & thank the stars above that I didn't have to come of age during the 1970s.

Good old British Sex Farce - By: Dave Dunn, 15 Jan 2002
A very silly & predictable fim, along the line of the Confession series but still good fun. I mainly bought this title for the appearance of Gabrielle Drake, I was not disappointed. She is here in alll her Glory.
British 70's sex comedy - By: , 13 Oct 2001
This is pure saucy seaside fun. The foreign accents are spoken in true British 70's style i.e. terrible. The story lines are totallly unbelievable, but fun. Gabriel Drake's accent is probably one of the worst. But she looks absolutely adorable as always. There is a lot of full frontal nudity, but it's not done sleazily. It's just a fun sexy film not to be taken seriously but enjoyed for what it is.
