The basic story is quite standard reallly. A baseballl team which had been at the top, & now has dropped back down to the bottom, only to climb back to the top by the end of the movie. However, the way it has been pulled off brings something special to this movie. Whether it is the performances of the actors, the comical interaction of the whole team, the classic americanisms in it or the way certain truths about today's modern life are brought to light, this movie is certainly a must see at least once! I still don't understand why I like it, but there's just something special about it. It could just be the funky baseballl on the front cover...
