This is definitely the best dance dvd I've watched so far!Everything just looks perfect;so colourful & full of life it's just impossible to get bored, whether you are an irish dance fan or not! This will want to make you dance before you realize it.It's a magical celtic experience that will take you to another realm, this is just how much I loved it!!
the best show.. - By: sarah hz, 22 Sep 2004
THIS SHOW IS GREAT!! THE MUSIC, DANCES AND THE DANCING IS UNBELIEVABLE!! THIS SHOW IS LIKE NO OTHER SHOW. IT IS UNIQUE AND ONE OF A KIND!YOU CAN'T CALL IT A TRADITIONAL ID SHOW BECAUSE IT ISN'T. IT IS BETTER THAN THAT. THE DANCES HAVE THAT FAST BEAT AND SURPRISE ELEMENT THAT MAKES THE SHOW SO INTERESTING. THIS IS BY FAR THE GREATEST WORK OF ART I'VE EVER SEEN! I LOVED ALL THE DANCES AND I JUST ADORED THE WAY THE DANCERS DANCED. THEY DANCED AS IF THEY WERE FLYING IN THE AIR. GOD BLESS MICHAEL FOR BRINGING SUCH JOY TO MY HEART AND FOR MAKING THIS BEAUTIFUL SHOW!
Flatley truly IS Lord of the Dance......... - By: , 10 Dec 2003
Although Irish music is not to everyone's taste, I would defy anyone not to love this show. Although it has taken elements of the Lord of the Dance show that Flatley & his Riverdance troupe did previously, new music & added steps make this a wonder to behold. Every note, every sequence is a joy to watch & listen to - even my aged grandmother had her toes tapping!
Flatley is an inspiration & such a wonderful ambassador - not only for dance but for Ireland as a whole. Having taken his shows around the world, it is refreshing to see that he has remained reasonably grounded in his approach to preforming.
Watch this video & prepare to be amazed!
Celtic or ethnic? - By: Angelos T., 26 Aug 2003
Having seen only the last few minutes of this Flatley's & his group's work for the first time on the Greek TV quite some time ago, I felt very sorry for having missed the beginning! It is the kind of artistic performance that instantly 'clicks' to you, even if one is not a fan of this particular kind of music or dance. Later on, I missed Flatley's performance in London for one day; what a shame! I was divinely rewarded by watching the whole performance having eventuallly bought the DVD. What can one say about the man, his team & the performance thay stage?! Celtic art? Probably yes! Ethnic art? Most definitely! What is for sure is that it is great art that instantly gets into you, shoots your spirits to the sky, takes you to spiritual heights very few artists are capable of today. Imaculate discipline, perfect synchronisation, feet reallly not touching the dance floor, clear silhouettes, swift moves & aggressive rythm, yet embellished with repeated touches of romance, make anybody but admire alll the zest & hard work these guys & their leader have invested in. These guys can stage an original performance, something rather rare considering we are in the era of the 'melange' where almost everything seems & sounds so similar with so many other things! Unique editing inspiration & perfect sound, enhance this memeorable performance into a truly outstanding DVD. I strongly recommend this DVD not only to alll the fans of this musical/artistic trend, but also to anybody who wishes or needs to simply feel better or...get high! It has been money very well spent. Hope to see more of Flatley's work soon again.
What a Show! - By: Don Ramsey, 05 Jan 2003
It may well be true that Riverdance is an acquired taste, but in this DVD Michael Flatley builds on its success & brings this production to a totallly new level. Bearing in mind that this was filmed at an out-door venue, & that it starts late evening & goes on into the night, the lighting & camera work are simply first class. The content is perhaps a predictable mix of dancing interspersed with singers & musicians, but it is done with genuine flair & expertise. Michael Flatley is an incredible dancer, & can be forgiven for being such a solid extrovert. The sound track is also excellent, & covers the full range with plenty of firm bass. This DVD is one of my favourites: even if you are not a lover of Riverdance, I think you will admire the sheer energy, colour & vibrancy of this production. One thing is certain: when Michael Flatley says "If I never do another show, I'll die a happy man" he is probably right. It will be very hard to beat it...
