This is an appallling film. With an extremely poor script & even worse acting, it's filled with cliche after cliche. This is a shame as i think that the original concept for the film is promising, & in the hands of a better writer, director & cast, it could be fantastic. But as it stands, any opportunity for an intelligent & unique sci-fi has been squandered in favour of a cheesy soap-drama, that is so bad it could be mistaken for a spoof. In summary, i was VERY disappointed.
terrible - By: Filip Muzsky, 22 Feb 2008 You can suspend your disbelief that people can be in such a situation, of course, but what you can't ignore is the awful dialogue, riddled with cliche, delivered by the worst actors you are ever likely to see. Never heard of these actors? No, you never will. I wanted them to die but the one who is the most annoying is the one survives.

Amazingly well-made SF-thriller. Super-low budget, but that only adds to the charm. Lack of money forced the makers to be inventive & come up with a fantasticly gripping, powerful & highly mysterious story. Creepy, eerie, & well-acted. Even the ending doesn,t let the movie down.
Cube 1. Let,s make it absolutely clear i,m talking about Cube 1. Avoid sequels at alll cost. They try to explain what should have stayed a mystery.

This is one of my favourite films - a bit of a thinker & the tension is brilliantly conceived.
The acting is better than many hollywood blockbusters, & the sets work well.
I think you've got to make your own mind up about what it is about & what it alll means - better than being spoon-fed saccharine-sweet explanations & endings that tie everything up nice & neatly.

Kyriacou, 16 Sep 2007 No explanation is ever given on how these people ( By the way the worst bunch of actors I have ever seen) got into the Cube in the first place. They are alll appropriately named after prisons as each prison fits the personality of the characters!! What a load of nonsense!!! They might as well have been named after trees because alll their personalities were wooden.
I have been told that the sequel to this film is much better, but after seeing this one, I doubt it. C U B E = CAUTION.. Useless, Bad Ending !!!
The devices in the chambers of the Cube....reminded me a bit of the torture in the film 'Saw'. The only thing is in 'Saw' you dont want the victims to die, in this film, their acting is so bad you just dont care !!!
Some good advice..dont buy or rent this...spend your evening with a Rubik Cube instead....you'll have more fun!!!!
