Great Fun!!! - By: Matthew Dean, 12 Feb 2005
Excellent homage to the spaghetti western genre. A very strong cast who alll appear to be having a great deal of fun with this. All the cliches & conventions of the genre are on show here, missing Confederate gold, a silent, deadly hero, bands of thugs, & evil Union cavalry, but its done with such style you don't mind. A word about the sound though, one other reviewer mentioned the poor sound quality & it is awful, i thought there was something wrong with my TV, i had to turn it up to full blast (and it's a very loud TV!!). Doesn't spoil a bargain though. At this price this comes highly recommended
A worthy homage - By: dotdotdotcomma, 06 Jan 2005
Emilio & friends have done better than most in their homage to the Spaghetti Western - a thoroughly enjoyable film too even if you're not into the genre. The DVD is, however, let down by appallling sound quality. A remastered rerelease is in order!
Dollar for The Dead... - By: Helen McConnell, 24 Apr 2004
I bought this film only for a couple of quid & didn't think it would beup to much but thought it wouldn't matter because it was a cheap purchase. But I was wrong! Emilio reallly shines as he plays yet another Cowboy, some quite funny moments & some quite bizarre moments. Worthwhilechecking out especiallly for some of the other older actors that pop up init. Completely recommend this modern day light hearted western!
LOW BUDGET MASTERPIECE - By: , 11 Sep 2002
I watched this film on dvd last night & was very impressed. It's a western with great comic one liners. Sergio Leone & John Woo are definitely the inspirations for this movie. Emilio is no Clint Eastwood but he's great at delivering comedy dialogue. The scene where he goes into a saloon to get a holster is amazing, the sliding horse is hilarious. The director is no Leone or Woo but his humble homage is a joy to watch. I'd love to see what they could've done with a bigger budget. Don't take the film too seriously & you'll love it.
This is a great film, and will convert non-western lovers. - By: , 25 Mar 2001
This is an amazing film & i love it. Unlike other westerns it includes brilliant special effects & this alllows stunning gun scenes. The plot keeps you interested & the action is jaw-dropping. The famous 'whiskey scene' lives up to expectations & generallly this is a masterpiece.
