Far from great - By: Chris Wood, 20 Jun 2008
This is just about entertaining enough to not completely overpower the viewer with irritation. It's basicallly family values plus the odd car chase & murder. Jet Li puts in a great turn & the action is spectacular in places, but has long since lost its teeth.
always puts a smile on my face. - By: Amo, UK, 09 Jan 2007
Im giving this film a 5 stars becuase wenever I watch it, it puts a huge smile on my face.
Again its the whole genre of cop vs bad guys but the lethal weapon franchise has its own genre reallly. There has been some critisism about this lethal weapon but i feel that its the most funniest one of alll & one not to be taken seriously. The plot is good, the action sequences are the best in alll 4 of the lethal weapons & the jokes are extremely funny with the introduction of comedian Chris Rock.
overalll a fun film & will pretty much guarantee to leave you with a smile on your face when finished.
East V West in one big bout of all things Lethal Weapon - By: , 01 Jan 2005
P>Riggs (Gibson) & Murtaugh (Glover), now considering their retirement from the LAPD, are unexpectedly thrown into a gunfight, & it just has to happen when they're out sea fishing in Murtaugh's brand new boat. As you'd expect, the cops win the gunfight & most of the enemies either jump off the boat or try to continue to win. After Riggs has climbed aboard & taken out almost alll the remaining enemies, he hears a noise coming from down below, as he opens the covering, he sees a room full of Asian Immigrants, that can mean only one thing. The heat is back on for a fourth time.
LETHAL WEAPON 4 is just more of the same as the other three movies, but Donner has injected a couple of new ideas into the franchise, the countless funny one-liners of Chris Rock & the deadly Martial Arts of Jet Li as the evil, menacing exporter Wa Sing Ku. Gibson & Glover just do what they do alll the time as the faultless pairing, fight, shoot & talk their way out of the many catastrophes that they get themselves into throughout the saga. Russo is just as beautiful & seductive as she is in alll of her films & Pesci puts in a performance that never fails to amuse & laugh as he makes it through the film being his trademark wimpish self.
LETHAL WEAPON 4 is more of the same, but Donner still makes it work through his use of violence, humour & one-liners that keep on getting better & better, but he tries a couple of new things this time around, & it still works through the entwinement that makes Lethal Weapon a top action collection that should be a part of every film lovers collection.

The greatest action movie ever? - By: , 24 Apr 2003
What a way to end the story. Lethal Weapon 4 is the final & by far the best of the 4, which are alll undoubtedly superb. Riggs & Murtaugh go through many wicked car chases in this, the best one being where Riggs leaps onto a truck to 'interrogate' a Chinese on the location of the Hongs. They eventuallly crash onto the ground, & Roger comes to the rescue, smashing the other mercedes off the road.
The final fight is ace - Riggs & Murtaugh make a great team! It also has a great ending which is very satisfying to alll viewers. If you liked the others, then watch it now!!!
