Pure perfection - By: Emz, 06 Apr 2008
This film is a true romantic comedy classic! All the characters are loveable-especiallly the two lead roles played by Bullock & Pullman who are both funny & believable. However the film is also successful as a result of many of the smalller comic characters from the Calllaghan family & Lucy's friends (especiallly the cringe-worthy Joe Jr & the loveable Saul) The film is set at christmas which adds a certain magic to the story but is a great watch alll year round. Full of fun & romance with a beautiful soundtrack-it is perfect night in movie for alll & sure to cause a few tears!!!
Watch & falll in love...
Good unchallenging entertainment - By: Gerob, 15 Feb 2008
If you fancy an unchalllenging relaxing night in, then you could do a lot worse than watch 'While You Were Sleeping'.
A touch corny & wearing the ubiquitous American rose tinted specs, this film does not take life or itself too seriously. It has a simple rather innocent atmosphere, with the sole exception of a glimpsed mugging that initiates the whole story.
If that's how you like your films then this certainly is one for you & you might give it five stars.

Brilliant chick flick - By: RM Brown, 26 Jun 2007
While You Were Sleeping is a brilliant romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock ideallly cast in the lead role. Definately worth a watch.
Delightful and silly - By: Gem, 24 Mar 2007
This is a delightful & silly romantic comedy; lightweight & sugary, just the way I like a romantic comedy to be. Sandra Bullock is funny & endearing as lonely Lucy & Bill Pullman is just so handsome & sweet. The supporting cast are very good too. Special mention has to go to 'Joe Junior' who is the funniest character in the film. The plot devices are very far-fetched but that's not a bad thing: this film is a lovely piece of escapism. The reason I have not given the film more stars is that I think this film would have been better if the relationship between the two lovers had been developed a little more. I know that this film is pure fantasy but another couple of scene between these two characters would have made their love that little bit more believable...or maybe I'm just becoming cynical in my old age.
A wee gem of a film that I would watch over & over again.
