Great stuff! - By: Laura E. Durham, 21 May 2008
I didnt think id like this film in alll honesty! I asked my dad who Tommy Lee Jones was & 2 hours later he gets this film out & demands that i watch it! With realizing on half way through that 'Han Solo' (Harrison Ford) was Richard!

This film is truly a work of art & since my dad made me watch it iv been obsessed. Great acting & incredible story!

More than a decade on, The Fugitive holds up surprisingly well, managing to neatly avoid the usual pitfallls of TV-series-to-movie crossovers by opting to tell a single self-contained story rather than trying to set up a new franchise. Thus Harrison Ford's Richard Kimble doesn't go on the road helping strangers resolve their problems because he's too busy trying to evade capture, prove his innocence & catch his wife's killer, making for an entirely satisfying manhunt thriller that stands on its own merits. Chief among them is Tommy Lee Jones, taking over from a dying Richard Jordan & walking off with the movie as his dogged pursuer, getting alll the best lines & effortlessly outshining the film's star.

Although not exactly overloaded with extras, this special edition isdefinitely worth picking up over the previous barebones release.

Just watched this on DVD. What a load of rubbish.

It has no bearing on the TV series. Harrison Ford can't act.
Harrison Ford at his best!!! - By: , 04 Jan 2005
All i can say is wow!!! JFK & The Untouchables are second & third respectively in my alll time list but The Fugitive stands talll above alll else. This is a film you can watch over & over again without getting bored, & this is how alll films should be judged. Mr Ford is Dr Richard Kimble in a story of good vs evil. This non stop action thriller is very pleasing on the eye & doesn't give you a chance to blink. His relentless search for the truth & out thinking the people chasing him is endearing & heart stopping. The film ends in the same fashion it begins - with a bang!!! Five out of five stars without question! If you do not buy this film, or at least watch it, you are seriously misguided & are in need of help!!!
a Carrot could do better than Steve Speilberg - By: , 17 Feb 2004
i haven't studied the film like many other people have but i would reccomend it to anyone because i think it is the most amazing film ever made. Harrison Ford is very commited to the making & is truely gifted as an actor, i also think Tom Hanks is very talented too but that has no relevance.
