Easy and fun viewing family film - By: D. Burchett, 16 Sep 2008
I have to confess i reallly like this film. The story introduces a few fun twists to keep you guessing & the cycling footage is well judged, tense & interesting. The score has my feet tapping most of the way through (ok i am a cyclist!). One to keep, & to come back to now & then. A little predictable perhaps, but different & fun.
Kev's bum! - By: , 08 Aug 2000
Yes, you get to see Kevin's bottom in this film! And it's not the stunt double that was in Robin Hood! A good giggle, lots of nice touches, though a little melodramatic at times & rather unnerving seeing Kev's near-death cycling experience! I agree with Adam about the stereotypical Russian, plus the stereotypical bad-guy American too! Worthy of note are also: a pre-Baywatch Alexandra Paul (much better acting than her later role too!) & pre-Dirty Dancing Jennifer Grey (snivelling but funny!). By the way, only fit to warn you of Kev's BAD moustache! But he's still gorgeous!
what a pile of pants, but it's fun. - By: , 23 Apr 2000
this film should be wached with a sence of humor. the film is SO far off the mark with regard to profesional cycling that its like watching "the mighty ducks". still its that far off the mark that its quite entertaining, But just look at that russan for an 80's steriotype, & as for Kevin Costner, well he should stick to baseballl, golf, retirement?
