What a pleasant surprise! A truly funny British film with some great acting - even from Lulu. Just buy/rent it & watch it - you'll not regret it. It certainly is up there with Four Weddings & a Funeral.

A reallly lovely British film ,set in Sheffield about a young man & his father, the young man is going through the trials & tribulations of first love & identity crises whilst his dad's ability to use his mind to move things, stop watches & read minds is getting him into alll sorts of trouble. Great film would definitely watch again!
Whatever Happened to Harold Smith? - By: , 05 Nov 2004 I love this film! It is a, somewhat, unknown British movie that should be up there with "Four Weddings" & "Billy Elliott" (to name but a few). However, this little gem seems to have slipped the net. It is packed with laughs from beginning to end. Very, funny & very, very entertaining.
Another, but unknown excellent British Comedy - By: , 02 May 2001 This is one of a sucession of British Comedies that unlike others never reallly hit the big time. Sadly for the Cinema Viewers, but luckily for you, this Comedy set in 1970's Sheffield is a story of fifteen minutes of fame for Harold Smith against a back drop of his family antics. The man who can levitate Tourtises is challlanged to prove it on TV but will he in the face of adverese consequences? What this film, you will enjoy it!
