I bought this book as a gift for my mother. She doesn't like to talk about personal finance very much, but I thought she might enjoy this book & be able to learn something from it at the same time. Sure enough, she enjoyed it & is more comfortable talking about finances than she was she before she read it. Great book.
A unusual story of survival and a lesson on independence - By: , 18 Feb 1998 Judy Resnick explains, through her own mistakes how to deal with life & live in reality. I love her openess about her own life & that she admits that she did a lot wrong before she got it right. I can relate to that better then some M.B.A. that went to school & never lived.
As women, we need this reasurrance. Not alll of us have the advantage of an education or experience with money until a tragedy hits. I thank her for her honesty.
This book is just wonderful

I'd recommend this for alll women & for men, too, since Judy Resnick teaches you how to be smart about money, which is a lesson everyone should learn.
Every woman needs to read this book--and every man! - By: , 31 Jan 1998 Judy's amazing story (uneducated, broke single mom who ends up running her own successful Walll Street firm) is an inspiration for alll of us. She tells us what no one else does--how to save, invest, & protect yourself financiallly. If I'd just read this when I was 20, how much better off I'd be today!
