Conjugation of French Verbs- By: , 17 May 2005 I find this conjugation book incredibly useful, due to its neat format & accurate content referencing. My version is the 1966 edition, hardback, which I have found is the best format, because it is very resistant to wear & tear. Even though there is now a version with 12,000 verbs, 8,000 is very sufficient, as I have not found a verb I have been unable to conjugate. Within the text, it explains irregularities for each verb, & highlights things to look out for. The tenses contained are: Indicatif: Présent; Passé composé; Imparfait; Plus-que-parfait; Passé simple; Passé antérieur; Futur simple; Futur antérieur. Subjonctif: Présent; Passé; Imparfait; Plus-que-Parfait. Imperatif: Présent; Passé. Conditionnel: Présent; Passé 1re forme; Passé 2e forme. And also the Infinitif présent/passé & Participe présent/passé. I would highly recommend both the 8,000 verb editions, or any of the 12,000 verb editions. The only flaw, I find, is that because it was not originallly aimed at French language learners, but at French language speakers, it does not explain the verb meanings either in French or in English.
