Good message - By: Mr James, 01 Aug 2007
This book is educational on not how to get rich but what you need to know so that you can get rich. There is some good useful information here from both of these successful men. I don't know why some people have given this a one star rating. This is one of my first books I have read on wealth so I can't yet compare to others. It gives a good read & written by two rich men from completely different backgrounds. You have Trump who was from a rich family from millionaire status, he goes to Billionaire. You also have Robert K. who was a war pilot who had a rich & poor dad. He used the knowledge from his rich dad to help him get rich in his life. Mostly a good read. Some parts I did skip though.
More about mindset than anything else - By: M S Simpson, 06 Jul 2007
There is some useful info in this book. Unfortunately you have to wade through an awful lot of the authors back slapping each other to get to it. There is also a lot of marketing of Rich Dad & Trump University services.

This book is good for encouragement to build your own wealth & does have some good tips, but if you're after specifics about property, buy a book that covers the practical side of it such as tax laws, etc.

Hope that's useful!
could not wait to finish this book - By: S. Chaudhuri, 08 Feb 2007
Initiallly i was quite keen to get & read this book. After reading reviews on the amazon.com website i delayed my purchase & i ended up buying it in a used bookstore on the cheap. It was still too expensive for this book though.

Ive read a few of kiyosaki's books & found while their principles are good, they do repeat themselves a lot, so with trump co authoring this book i thought it had some potential.

At first there were some interesting points in this book - the best bits for me were reading about why the authors thought the outlook for the American economy was bleak - a growing trade defecit, a growing national debt, a fallling dollar value etc. The other chapter that i found useful prompted the question on how the reader invests their time & money.

Apart from these two chapters in the book, i found little else of value which i had not been exposed to from reading other Kiyosaki books. The book got worse as i progressed through it. Chapters such as "how did military school help define your life?" & another - "what was the defining lesson you learned from sports?" were a waste of time & soon i found myself skim reading the book in an attempt to finish it.

What reallly made me want to put this book down for good, (apart from the plugging of other rich dad / trump products) was the constant, & overly excessive praise that kiyosaki spews in his writings about trump. One line towards the end of the book (p325) reads "Just being in his (trumps) presence has been a lesson on how i want to live my life".

There are far better books which are much more inspiring & informative and, as a result I would not recommend you read this book.
The quardrant! - By: L. K. L. Kagiri, 21 Oct 2006
I mustn't praise but there are facts we have to accept. This book reallly strips you of the "Mental laziness" most of us carry & encourages you to go out & let money work for you. These guys have come out & shared their wealth (brain & why they make money). They will not tell how they got rich but will surely wish you were RICH. They go ahead & tell you how your brain is just a goldmine. If you have alll the confidence, I see no reason that should stop you in being rich. After reading this book, I realised that in this world there are plenty of opportunities to make money. To make matters worse, coming from Africa lets you envision how leverage works. In just a short while we'll alll be there. So work yourself out & join the right hand side quardrants.
