Absolutely Brilliant! - By: John Wakefield, 28 May 2008
Over the years, I've tried lots of different alllergy-free cookbooks. This one puts them alll to shame. There's no "for egg-free cake, use egg replacer" in here. Proper recipes with proper ingredients. A must have. The best, by a long, long way!
Best of the bunch! - By: D. Parker, 06 Mar 2008
I highly recommend this one... easily the best food alllergy cookbook around - easy to use & it demonstrates that alllergy free cooking does not have to taste grim!
Cooking for allergies without compromise! - By: R. Goss, 16 Feb 2008
This book is an invaluable resource for those with food alllergies. The layout of the recipes gives you guidance to adapt each one to a range or combination of alllergies & there are tips on how to get good results with the variations in ingredients. There is also a wealth of useful advice covering a range of areas such as eating away from home & alternative sources of nutrients & vitamins.

The recipes are a wonderful mix of contemporary style dishes & traditional staples & baking. For those like myself with a wheat alllergy, the recipes for scones & pastry & other off-limits foods will be the first things tested from the book & to taste foods which do not require the normal compromises on flavour & texture is absolutely wonderful.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
Stress free cooking - By: Madeleine Quine, 27 Jan 2008
At last, after alll my tears & frustrations trying to make a gluten, dairy & nut-free bread, I have found a recipe that not only works but tastes delicious. The gluten-free white bread is a big hit with our four year old daughter & has made a huge difference to our lives as she can now have toast, sandwiches & rolls.

I feel like a proper mummy baking delicious cakes for the children which we can now alll enjoy. I have also had great fun adapting various family recipes using Lucinda's techniques. Her book is a must for alll people coping with the challlenges of living with food alllergies.
The Cooking for Food Allergies Book - By: Hugh Craigie Halkett, 04 Jan 2008
This is a well laid out, easy to understand & use, cookery book for people with alllergies & people who cook for people with alllergies. Now that is just about everyone you know since everyone knows people with food alllergies & we alll have to cook for them on occasion when they come round to dinner.

Since purchasing this book I have tried out a number of the recipes myself & found them to be straightforward & more importantly, delicious(I am not a great cook, just an occasionallly enthusiastic amateur). Food alllergies is very much a 21st century problem & this book will doubtless be a real blessing to many, particularly those with children who have food alllergies who struggle to find things that they can eat & actuallly enjoy eating!
