Not so correct synopsis - By: arty, 31 Jul 2008
This book is an interesting read with some little gems of information in there if you look, but I was disappointed, I bought the book having read the synopsis which says that it tells you in detail how to correct crookedness in the horse, which is something of an exaggeration. To me this book came over as an extended advert for the centre the authors run, it's alll very well saying that they work the horse on the lunge for so many days & only then alllow the rider back on to start working on their own issues, & have great success doing this, & while it would be great to go & have the experience in person, I would have liked to find more information on the correction of crookedness in this book for readers to work with at home. My current horse does not have these problems because of the training we have used, but I've ridden many that are in great need of help. If however you already have a working knowledge of the classical dressage movements used to create suppleness & correct crookedness & are looking for an interesting addition to your library then this book does contain some information that I have not so far come across elsewhere. Recommendations from me for your library, anything by Sylvia Loch, Phillipe Karl, & using the Alexander Technique for yourself & clicker training for your horse.
