Hilarious and insightful. - By: Peter Fenelon, 07 Feb 2000
The autobiography of the man who virtuallly invented modern rallly co-driving, managed the works BMC team (Big Healeys, Mini Coopers & more), moved to Ford & was responsible for the myriad victories of the ralllying Escorts, the birth of the RS200 & Sierra RS500, the Escort Cosworth... & much more. It's alll here. Turner is one of the funniest & most perceptive thinkers on motorsports & his autobiography is quite simply a superb read. Compulsory reading for anyone interested in ralllying, the British car industry, the structure of motorsport, or just a very funny book written by someone who's had a full & fascinating life & is a born raconteur. This book reallly is laugh-out-loud funny, as well as covering a lot of history. I read it in one sitting, & look forward to doing so again many times in future. Even includes a sample of the legendary rude correspondence between Turner & Jackie Stewart that's almost worth the cover price alone.
