Too much detail and not enough 'how to practicality'. - By: C. Mackenzie, 12 May 2008
If u enjoy reading science textbooks or biology books or pages & pages of jargon & talking, then this is for u.if like me ur intrigued by NLP & want a few 'how to' tips then find something more practical. A waste of money.Minimum info on reading body language. A BIG disappointment.
a great introduction to NLP - By: annetortue, 12 Feb 2008
This book does exactly what is say on the cover: introducing you to Neuro-Linguistic Programming. i am quite a visual learner & was disappointed by not seeing many pictures in it but i found that the authors have excelled at making the techniques accessible to alll. I have read the book in about 4/5 hours & have made notes along the way of techniques to use in my own life. Just a week in, I can already see changes in myself & the way I deal with others.
The only reproach I would make to the book is that it is packed with a lot of information & that ALL the techniques look interesting. I feel that as a reader I did not have enought time to take them in & try them before moving to another aspect of NLP: pace was too fast (hence the note taking in my journal).
I have also purchased NLP workbook by O'Connor (on of the author of Introducing NLP programming) & I like the fact that it has "guided" exercises, on the other hand i found its pace a little too slow for a book for my liking but great for a seminar.
i would thoroughly recommend this book to start NLP but you may need to combine it with a more practical guide for excellent results.
Introducing NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming - By: Roger Boyle, 10 Jan 2008
As with most books in this field it promises much & delivers very little.
Quite a lot of Psycho-Babble that reallly means very little.
By alll means read it but it wont change your life or reprogram your brain!
Derren Brown's recent book has some information about NLP in it & is quite sceptical
The martial art of communication! - By: Mr. NJ LYLE, 07 Oct 2007
Don't let the term Neuro Linguistic Programming put you off the idea of learning about this amazing subject. NLP is literallly the martial art of communication & this book is a first class introduction.
Everyone can benefit from NLP, either in their career or personal life. NLP is actuallly a whole range of tools & mental processes that enable one to develop the skills for understanding people more clearly & also how to influence others. Some of the techniques in this book are extremely powerful, you will discover a lot about yourself as you learn!
The book is clearly written & avoids too much jargon. The authors also have a sense of humour!

Are you a NLP student or just simply someone who finds it fasinating! This is an exceptionallly good book. The writer is very clear in what he means. I am doing & NLP course & I have found this book has helped my understand the subject more clearly. Personallly I find NLP fasinating. This book is ideal for anyone but particulary good for NLP students & NLP beginners.
NLP is the study of human excellence
