When I read this book I was constantly stumbling across ideas & tools that are instantly useable & that will help to engage every pupil more fully in what is happening in the classroom. The 'theories' are presented in a way that makes them very easy to digest & the 'magazine' format provides you with snippets of information to help you maximise pupils' learning.

As a primary teacher I found this book reallly interesting with lots of good ideas to use in the classroom. It did not take me long to implement any of them, the problem was, which should I choose first. The book was very easy to read & lists very useful websites & texts to refer to if you wanted more information. Mike Fleetmans website is also excellent & well worth a visit. Buy this book if you want an introduction to the theory of 6 Hats, multiple intelligences (brief) & VAK etc. Its a quick & motivating read.

This is an interesting read & has many good ideas, in theory; many of them are difficult to implement quickly, they need time to be taught & established as part of a daily routine. I have found other, similar books, more user friendly too. I hope to start using some of the ideas in September with a new class & instill them as part of everyday learning.
