An excellent starting point - By: G. Dienel, 14 Mar 2007
I'm a second year student on a BA Education Studies with MFL course, & was advised to buy this reader in my first year. Now I'm nearly at the end of my second year, & it is still extremely useful. As the previous review has mentioned, it covers a variety of aspects of education, both policy & controversy, & presented in a well organised way. It proves an excellent starting point for essays on different topics, & provides enough coverage of issues I am nnot studying, but still need to be aware of, without becoming dry & over-detailed. Highly recommended!
An easily readable introduction to the world of education. - By: , 09 Aug 2001
This book is not only for those interested in studying education, but also for those who have an interest in education generallly. The book looks at various aspects within education, including race, gender & social class, & details education through the ages, from pre-Reformation to the present day. A good starting ground for those wishing to study both QTS & non-QTS education courses.
