Its great! - By: Rebecca Smith, 24 Feb 2007
I bought this book for my Daughter.
This is her review of the book:
I have read Mates, dates 1, 2 & 3, this is the 4th book & it was fantastic to read - I loved it from the start to the end! I like how Cathy Hopkins (the Author) writes it in Nesta's point of view in 1 book & Izzie's in another e.t.c, I think that's great. I loved her letters with her friend who's moved away & their letters - made up names for books, that was reallly funny, & I think that Wendy is sooo mean! & i also loved her new look that Nesta gave her...I don't want to give much more away, cause I don't want to spoil the plot lines! I would just like to finish by saying...I RECCOMEND THIS BOOK TO ALL!, thoigh you have to reallly read 1, 2 & 3 of this series I s'pose...Buy its a fantastic book & I could'nt put it down at alll!!! Cathy Hopkins - You rock!
Best Book ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - By: crazykid, 04 May 2006
I love this book! Its about TJ Watts shes having a tough time when her best friend Hannah left to South Africa. She has a crush on her next door neighbour Scott & a nasty girl callled Wendy has it in for her. Also the school's newsletter is changing & a famous guy callled Sam Denham comes. Will TJ find friends? Does Scott like her bacK? What about Izzie,Nesta & Lucy?

I like the emails with the funny made up authors & the made up stories.
This is a EXCELLENT book! - By: , 01 Jun 2005
This is one of the best books by Cathy Hopkins, along by alll the other mates dates series. TJ in this book, is new to the gang but not the school. Her best friend Hannah has moved away & she is more alone than ever. But when she meets, Lucy, Nesta & Izzie, things start to look up. Shes been mates wiv the boy next door, & shes currently started to have a crush on him, but he treats her as 'one of the boys' & fancies her friend Nesta, but when TJ realises he is dull & boring, there is someone else on her mind...
WOWZA! - By: Lucy Robertson, 24 Apr 2005
TJ is lonely. Her best friend has moved & now her brother is too. Also class biatch Wendy is making her life a misery. Then Lucy Lovering befriends her, starting a great friendship. But what about izzie & nesta? Will they accept Tomboy Norma-know-it-alll Tj? How will Tj cope with Nesta's big mouth? It doesn't help that her crush & best friend scott fancies Nesta either! Packed with laffs & good times, this book is an essential to any collecter of the Mates, Dates series.
The Best Book Ever! - By: , 16 Nov 2003
This book is excellently written. I have read most of the books in this series & this is my favourite. It gives you confidence that even a plain, boring, sporty girl can find someone.
When T.j's best mate moves away Lucy, Nesta & Izzy except her into their gang. T.J's always been mates with the guy next door too. She starts to fancy him just as he starts to like Nesta. But is he reallly the guy for her? Or could it be someone else? Lucy's brother Steve's quite nice...
