Well written and useful too - By: Gorgeous George, 24 Jan 2008
I found my son reading Neil Strauss's book & he told me he thought I'd enjoy it. Essentiallly a how-to guide to landing the woman of your dreams, I also found it a lot of help in improving my self-esteem & general sociability. Strauss has a fine prose style too. I may be a happily married man but there's lots here to enjoy.
Not worth buying. - By: V. Kozhaev, 17 Jan 2008
The Game was a great read. Sadly, the follow up is merely an attempt to cash in on the success of his first book. Even after Neil announced his "retirement" from the game you could see this book coming :) the temptation to cash in was just too great.

The Challlenge itself (first part of this book) was originallly available on Neil's website for free & was supposed to be Neil's last present to the pick up community. (Its funny how everything Neil does is a "last thing I'll ever do, because too many people have asked me too & I just couldn't let them down :)" I wonder what's the next `last thing' would be .....) Anyways....... As far as I can see there are no additional challlenges, missions, tips, etc. This is just a compilation of what is already available & there is nothing in this book that you couldn't find within a minute of searching online. 1 star out of 5

Obviously Neil couldn't just sell 'The Challlenge' on its own, so he had to throw in some gimmick to make it a complete product. As a result we get the later part of the book (The Style Diaries). I feel like Neil was under the pressure of deadline from the publisher & haven't spent too much time writing this. The stories are not as entertaining & as his previous writings. Some guys in the community have summed it up us "Neil bragging about his exploits, probably to increase the value of what he teaches in the reader's eye, for the benefit of his future products". I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. Some of the stories were fun to read, but nowhere near as good as the Game. 3 stars out of 5

Overalll you could argues that the primary point of the book was to promote the "Style" brand & cash in on the success of his first book. Disappointing. Hope the next product is better.
Who needs Cosmo? - By: Rani, 16 Jan 2008
Well this is it girls. No need for women's magazines. Read this book & you will know what men desire & what daemons they fight to get it. Intriging, disturbing, & funny.

Good missions, Nice stories - By: M. Dijkema, 28 Dec 2007
This book which is actuallly split into 2 smalller books in the US version is a great followup of Neils book The Game. For anyone wanting to overcome difficulties talking to women I completely advise this book. Do the missions one by one properly & you'll find yourself having a date soon (usuallly within the 30 missions range already otherwise quickly after it). The stories are a nice reading but they are also good for building your own confidence. Why? Because Neil Strauss wasnt a ladies man at alll, he looked like a nerd, didnt get any female attention & was at a point that was even worst then most men are at. Now it is alll different. This is a great book for anyone wanting to talk more with women & finding it hard to. It is for anyone wanting to improve his social skills & it is just fun reading.
The Ultimate How-To Book! - By: Phoenix_k, 13 Dec 2007
I received this book on my 25th birthday. I hadn't heard of The Game so I had no clue as to what it was. My 'friend' told me it was a how-to guide & then gave me a strange wink & told me it would change my life. When I realised it was about landing the woman of your dreams I was slightly insulted - I'm not that bad! Scepticism soon turned to disbelief. It reallly works. For me it helped build my confidence & I soon found myself sarging with the best of them!
