Excellent - A labour of love maybe by the writers? - By: S. Morris, 05 Dec 2006
This book is everything that 'Spooks - Behind The Scenes' isn't. It's clear here that the writer & designer know & love the series & have put a lot of effort in. Not only is there background on the production, but there is even an attempt to flesh out the characters even more with elements of fiction, like stories in an tv annual.

Speaking of which, the design of the book is fantastic. The idea of making the bookcover beneath the dust-jacket look like a typical tv annual from 1973 is an inspired one, & perfectly in keeping with the style & spirit of the show.

I can't recommend it highly enough.
A first class Companion book for a first class series - By: C. Schmidt, 30 Nov 2006
I love the quality of this book. The weight & feel of it are first class & physicallly it is a beautiful book.

Now for what's inside.

I love the intimate nature of the behind the scene insights the book has. I've read other companion books & they usuallly have a textbook feel about them, this is what the show is about & here is the lesson on how we got there. Like the boring high school teacher who taught Math. This book is like the crazy history teacher who dressed up like Napoleon to teach the chapter on the Battle of Waterloo. It has the fan feeling about it, like they actuallly watched the show with the rest of us & being fans themselves, knew what a fan would want.

I love the behind the scene pictures, especiallly the class picture with everyone draped around the Cortina at the end of filming the last episode.

I love the fact that we get complete music listings for every episode because now I can finallly finish my LoM Mix CD.

I love the "Interviews" with alll the characters from the show. I think my favorite one is DC Skelton's.

Simply put, I love everything about this book except for the fact that I will probably have to buy a second one so that I can keep one of them perfect & manhandle the second one to death.

Full marks Guy & Lee. Bring on the next one.
