Just like being there... - By: M. J. Farncombe, 19 Oct 2007
...except that you don't get to admite the beauteous Samantha. This reallly does sum up the feel of a live recording of ISIHAC, including Barry's rather smutty jokes before the show & Willie's brilliant asides. Doesn't get 5* because it does repeat shows previously released but does include sketches that were not broadcast. A typical section of the additional material: before the Liverpool show, Humph is bitching about spending 4 hours on the motorway: after the closing music fades out, he sighs & says "I think I preferred the M6".
Make sure you get the special edition, the one with the insert outlining the rules of Mornington Crescent.
Not so bad - By: Eve, 11 Mar 2007
If you haven't got the complete set of tapes/cds issued so far, you will be less disappointed than previous reviewers that some of this material has already been released.
It IS a good idea - but it would be better if previously unreleased editions could be put in this format. (I understand that part of the problem is that it was only comparatively recently in its 35 year history that Clue started recording programmes in a such a way that they can be released in full.) I am a sad bunny who has a number of programmes on tape that I recorded in the late 80s & early 90s & therefore I can see that it is a fine thing to release anything that includes the incomparable Willie Rushton & I would welcome any early shows in any format Jon Naismith thinks fit!
To sum up - this is still Quality Clue - & to be reminded that Finsbury Park is, for Ciryl players, Krapy rubsnif surely makes it worth the money! Never mind Jeremy Hardy's fine first attempt at singing One Song To The Tune of Another & a quick game of Barry's favourite - Spot the Ostrich...
This is already out on CD - By: R. Abrahams, 16 Oct 2006
I love "I'm sorry I haven't a clue" & was looking forward to the next instalment. How disappointing then that this includes recordings that have already been released. Also, the amount of additional 'live' material is very limited.
Repeating a Clue - By: Mr. J. Hill, 23 Sep 2006
With over 30 years excellence it is rather sad that this CD expands upon material already available in CD format! In summary a super idea diluted, let's have more Cd's using original material, after so many programmes it shouldn't be too difficult.
