A good read - By: Mrs. Barbara Vaughan, 28 Jun 2008
Once again, sharp & action filled stories moving at a fast pace. I particularly like the short chapters which give an added impetus to the writing. For those familiar with the Womens Murder Club, this is as good as it's predecessors & I await the WMC 8.
Easy Reading - By: Mrs. S. I. Morgan, 21 Jun 2008
I love this series, I can see where some of the reviewers are coming from, however for me personallly I still enjoy these, & am waiting for No8, to see how the relationship between Lindsey, Joe & Richie developes! Don't start with this novel you must start at No1!
No, no, no. Stop it. Please. - By: Ray Blake, 18 Jun 2008
I have come to expect little from this series, & in this respect, the latest outing does not disappoint. If you like characters that it's difficult to tell apart, if you enjoy Janet & John dialogue that even Enid Blyton would have discarded as too facile & stilted, if you don't reallly want any real plot worth speaking of, if you want protagonists to act outside their established motivations, then by alll means, obtain this book. It's just your sort of thing.
For the rest of us, however, this book disappoints on every level. The 'thrilling court room scenes' are hackneyed & pedestrian. Just as in the previous novel, it is as if none of the protagonists have been in court before, nor understand many basic legal concepts.
Mr Patterson's name & reputation continue to be cheapened by his involvement in this series - whatver the actual nature of that involvement might be. It's time for him to write some good books again on his own (without some of the obvious product placement we've seen from him in the past, too) & re-establish some credibility as a writer. Come on, James, you're better than this.
Disappointed - again - By: E. D. Bowen, 28 Apr 2008
I am a big fan of James Pattersons thriller books (not his fantasy books!) but my enthusiasm is beginning to wane.
I have found the last 4 (I think since Maxine Paetro started as co-author) Women's Murder Club books very lacking in substance, predictable & badly written.
I have this theory that he is alllowing the other author to use his name but he is not contributing any longer.
I'm dreading the day when a second authors name appears on the Alex Cross books!
Inspired as alway's... - By: Sarah Gooding, 14 Mar 2008
I've read many James Patterson novel's. & as usual I'm suitably impressed. I disagree with some of the other reviews, as 7th Heaven (Womens Murder Club 7) is a well written & enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the next one. While writing this review, I would like to recommend 'The Constantine Legacy' by Andrew Towning.
