This is a truely excellent read that can be enjoyed by everyone not just those interested in history. It is very easy to read & understand even if it is not the type of book that you would normallly purchase. It is a griping story that took me on an emotional rollercoaster. A well written book,which i would recommend as a must buy.

A quite brilliant read. The perfect balance of well-researched historical fiction & serious history, in the notes & glossary section. The artwork inside , though in black & white, fits the story well. The author , in his foreword, shows a desire to have this book adapted into screenplay, & I for one can't wait to see the production should it ever get onto our screens. A very powerful story, & told from a different perspective to most other books of the genre.
I only purchased this item after reading the (disabled) author's other book, & though I was sceptical of his jump from autobiography to history, he HAS managed to produce yet another fantasic, if a little short, piece of literature. Worth every penny.
