Such a good gift for Mums young & old, it reallly would suit anyone. My mum loved the recipes & even found the stories about mums hilarious, perfect when you're not sure what to buy for their birthday or Mother's Day.

The perfect gift to give your mum on Mother's Day or just any day of the year to remind her she's the best! Full of bits & pieces that alll mums should know, or will want to know & it looks great on the bookshelf with it's lovely retro packaging. I also bought The Dads' Book which is in the same series for my dad & they look great together- I just wonder if the publishers will bring out a Daughters' Book to make our shelf complete! A great buy at a great price.
A perfect gift - By: S. Knox, 18 Jan 2008 I was struggling to think of a suitable present for Mother's Day, that was slightly more imaginative than the usual flowers & chocolates. This delightful book came to the rescue & proved to be a big success in my house. My mum particularly enjoyed the chapter " To hell with housework"! Highly recommended!

My 10yrs bought this book for me from his savings, so I cannot give it away to charity. There were some nice bits, but on a whole, I found it quite boring & had to skipped many, many pages. Nothing special. I'm sure you get more tips in magazines & newspapers.

I am one of those guys that realize at the very last minute that a present is needed & you never know what to buy. I thought this was the perfect gift, maybe too nostalgic for some but overalll very sweet.
