This guide is focused on the Key Stage 3 English SATs, with sections on each of the main parts of the exam: Reading Comprehension, Quoting, Shakespeare & Writing. The explanations are designed for the target age-group (eg "Shakespeare is weird – but it gets easier with practice"). The layout is crystal-clear, & the content excellent. There are also hints on how to pass exams ("make sure you answer alll the questions"). The section on writing contains useful tips for alll ages on how to write accurate & readable English.

Summary: outstanding revision guide for teens doing English exams.

The coloured text is attractive as a starting point & creates interest. The information is clearly laid out with subject headings & easy to follow sections. My son, who is reluctant to study & revise actuallly read this at bedtime - unheard of in our house.
