Person centred/client centred therapy - By: V. A. Jab-bar, 17 Feb 2007
This book is user friendly & is extremley informative. This book clearly explaines the concepts of cient focused therapy & an excellrnt tool for use in training as well as your own personal development. This book is a must for the novice.
Not an excellent read - By: Mr. O. Keenan, 25 Aug 2004
For years people have referenced the work of Carl Rogers, & rightly so, he was (and still is) an inspiration in the world of counselling.

Unfortunately, he was not the greatest author & his book, is at best boring. It contains very little therapy log, very little practical tips & at times feels like notihng more than pages upon pages of words! The absence of therapy logs made this book virtuallly useless for me in my basic counselling training & of extremely limited use (save for referencing) in my post-basic training.

If you are entering the field of specific client centred counselling (or rogerian therapy) this book is a must have. If you are entering eclectic counselling, or other forms of counselling or psychotherapy your money may be better spent elsewhere.
