Not worth the Money - By: Jason Pearce, 02 Mar 2004
First of alll I loved the whole storm watch world but this book was not worth the money I spent. The only thing that is worth reading in this book was jenny sparks kicking bum, & the beginning of the authority. On this book though I was left feeling "what a cop out" Major heroes die & I'm sitting there going o well was that it? Now I can only think Warren Ellis was having a bad day when this was written, I love this man's work & I cannot recommend his authority series enough. The authority showed how different a comic could be. Don't buy this last storm watch go to a library borrow it & save your money.
The weakest of all the Stormwatch TPBs - By: SP Carter, 21 Dec 2001
It's very short, & although Ellis in one sense "earns his spurs" with the shocking end of Stormwatch there's no real animation or verve to the characters as there was before. Final Orbit does exactly what it says on the tin & nothing more.
There are a few interesting scenes at the end previewing what would become the brilliant Authority, but otherwise you're not missing that much.
the missing link between Stormwatch and The Authority - By: , 17 Oct 2001
This collection bridges the gap between the last run of Stormwatch & the beginning of the Authority, & in true Warren Ellis style features lashings of death & mayhem. The end of Stormwatch actuallly took place in a crossover between WildC.A.T.S.and Aliens which was rumoured to have infringed Aliens copyright, hence the unavailability of these reprints until now. Lovely writing & art make this collection essential for Ellis fans & completists of the whole Stormwatch / Authority saga.
