Old news for a preacher man - By: Mr. N. Graham, 03 Feb 2008
How on earth this book has gotten full 5 stars i will never know. It's outdated news from someone who seems to have a little Jesus in him. Im not having a pop at christianity but this guy is over the top & very teadious with repetative sayings. If you want to know how to attract wealth then try reading either 'The richest man in babylon' or ' Success through a positive mental attitude'
Better than "The Secret" - By: A. Beeton, 07 Oct 2007
Not as easy to read as "The Secret" but many more times powerful in its message, not only does it argue why you should be rich, but also takes a moral line of how you should become rich - by doing things in a "certain way". The statements that stick in my mind the most are not to be competitive, not to rip others off, & also not to become a self-styled "master". A must read.
Ancient truths reinterpreted for our times - By: Pieter, 19 Jun 2002
The Science of Getting Rich is very much a practical manual with ideas deeply rooted in the thought of Descartes, Spinoza, Leibnitz & Emerson, among others. The style is refreshingly direct & lucid as it explains the ancient truths anew. Much emphasis is placed on the emotion of gratitude & the individual's creativity as the channels for creating wealth; in other words, creating abundance without competing against others. Wattles writes with genuine authority & his style is free of embellishment. This is definitely a classic of the genre & ranks with the best works of later authors in the field, like Catherine Ponder, Joseph Murphy, John Randolph Price & Stuart Wilde.
Brilliant! - By: iam@5pillars.com, 20 Aug 2001
Considering that this was written in 1927, I do not know why there are not more rich, & 'uncompetitve' people out there. What this book has to say is timless, & so basic, so true, so easy, yet so hard! Based on Universal truths, this book reallly says it alll. Take the challlenge & try it!
