Breakthrough research! - By: Gavin Cargill, 02 Aug 2006
Vital Friends brings "joined up" writing into the world of the much abused words "personal development".
Massive research is available on personal motivation, what makes us tick etc. In addition, recently, there has also been a huge emphasis placed on the dynamics of team. Much of this research is very helpful.
However "Vital Friends" is different inasmuch explores the rational & emotional dynamics of 1/1 relationships. This is a very practical as well as informative book.
It is also different as it comes with a very helpful internet activity which enables the reader to discover the friendship strengths that are brought into our lives by others.
For years many people have been endeavoring to discover how best to motivate others. One key discovery has been that "receiving the experience of being valued is the essential oil for sustained success". Tom Rath & his team have given us some real insights how we can deliver the experience of being valued in the eight themes of friendship the study revealed.
This short book has the potential of transforming relationships in the workplace, the family & the community!
