This was up to Gerri Hill's usual standard (if you discount the dismal "Cottage"). Well-researched, atmospheric, gripping & well-paced. Maybe just a bit of a cliche with the tough but charming cop & the deep & thoughtful therapist but who cares. It's a good yarn with a romance that blossoms at the right speed, sex at the right moment, snappy dialogue & satisfying conclusion.
