A Thousand Splendid Suns was a great read; I just couldn't put it down. The characterisation was reallly good & a real empathy for the characters built up. I became reallly anxious as I was nearing the end in case some other tragedy befell the characters. The 'happy' ending brought tears to my eyes.

having read Kite Runner I wasnt expecting, but was hoping for another brilliantly thought provoking emotional book- & thats what I got. Simply fantastic. I cried, I smiled, it made me think. You have to read this.
