Excellent resource book for Reason 2.5 - By: P. M. Dalton, 15 Jul 2004
I've only got half way through the book but thought I'd write a review to rave about this book, I'd say Reason 2.5 does look quite complicated to a beginner & I bet a few have said oh looks abit to advanced for their needs & have overlooked the great Reason. Well what this book does for Reason is it completly explains everything you need to know to understand exactly what alll them knobs are. I'm finding it a joy to read & alot of things are fallling in place from when I did a basic look into music tech a few years back.
Its alll explained in simple form & if there is a jargon phrase or something used he will alsways explain what is meant, which I find good cause so many books on music technology just go over my head.
That said its not just for the beginner, theres tips & insight to the racks of Reason for the more knowledgeable Reason user.
Its defo a case of can't put the book down, well done Michael Prager
Seriously useful guide - By: R. Barker, 30 Mar 2004
I've been using Reason since version 1 & thought I had a pretty good handle on it. I now realise I was only aware of about half of the abilities of this fantastic package. A reallly well written book which goes into just about enough detail about musical theory without swamping you. Now I know how to use Reason properly I have much more time to think about the creative side of things.
If you have Propellerhead Reason 2.5 then this is valuable - By: , 03 Feb 2004
I've used Reason 2.5 for only a few months & found it quite daunting using the dreaded pdf manual. Then this gem of a book came along, and i can't put it down.400 plus pages of easy to follow chapters detailing everything imagineable about the program & includes tutorials for every instrument.Dedicated chapters include plugins, using Reason within other programs like Sonar or Cubase SX.Wheather you are a beginner or an expert to Reason this book is very Highly Reccommended.
