"Life never makes sense - don't wait" - By: Paul Foreman, 07 Feb 2007
Life can be tough, if you get knocked down, sometimes it can reallly take deep inner strength & courage to pick yourself up. As a joker, I know what it is like when I'm not in the mood to lift others. It can leave me feeling that there is no one out there to lift me when I need it - & that is when I am reminded that I shouldn't be relying on outside forces - the healer lives within & I have to dig deeper.
Positive emotions lead to a longer life, deep down everyone knows this to be true & yet we miss the point on a daily basis - we forget & become negative, we fret, we moan, we judge, we blame & ultimately we totallly dismiss the fact that we are going to die & that life is oh so short.
I have read extensively about SynchroDestiny & I also know that good timing is a prerequisite for comedy - I reallly needed a laugh, I needed my spirits to be lifted & the postman delivered this CD. It came at the right time & it didn't let me down.On this CD - which is a live performance in front of an audience, Dr Siegel offers humorous & compelling stories that illustrate the importance & impact of our attitude on our health & longevity. As I listened to this CD, three quotes hit me between the eyes & stopped my mind - "Life never makes sense - don't wait", "Get busy living" & "Make every day precious" - there isn't a human on this planet who could sanely argue with any of that! The messages on this CD are examples of principles that can help every one of us see life with new eyes - & start to reallly live.
The stories are enlightening, they give encouragement & hope, they speak of strength & gutsy determination - they speak of truth, of living life while you are alive & the one simple action we as listeners need to take can be summed up in a single word; implementation.
This CD offers a philosophy of living; a way of thinking, it reminds us of something so easily forgotten; that life is cause for celebration, each day is cause for celebration, in fact each moment is cause for celebration. It's callled the beginner's guide & it offers you just what you need; somewhere to start & something to build on. Dr Siegel isn't a comedian, so don't buy the CD for kicks or a cheap laugh - if you want to change your outlook on life & thereby improve your overalll wellbeing & life experience then don't even hesitate.
Listening to this CD reminded me how precious life is & that we should grasp each moment with the delight & awe of a child who sees snow for the first time. I passed a graveyard the other day & the impact of Dr Siegel's CD got me thinking - I wonder how many worries are left beneath each gravestone?
