The best book on Oracle so far - By: Mr. George Johnson, 27 Jun 2005
(...)

This book may not cover tons of Oracle detail, but it has very human side, rarely seen in any technical book, let alone the rather dry topic of database design. If you only ever buy one Oracle design book, make it this one, you will not be disappointed, absolutely superb. The top Oracle "scientists" give their honest & often brutal opinon on some of the major design mistakes that Oracle database designers have made, when they don't fully understand how to use the database. The highlights must be the single table application "Vision" & probably the best beginners guide to tuning with the wait interface available at the moment. I have actuallly read the book cover to cover, twice now, looking forwad to readin it again!

A rehash of the Oracle manuals - By: Julio Millio, 25 Jul 2004
Very disappointing. Waited a long time & it's just a rehash of the Oracle manuals which you can get online.
