This is little more help than what ESRI themselves will provide. The documentation that comes with ArcGIS is almost as good, & if you already have a licence, ESRI's support team is free & helpful. I reallly can't see who this book is for.

As a software instructor I was very impressed with the structure & clear content of this book. I recommend it to everyone who wants to taste GIS. Although, you must have some interest in spatial analysis & geographical issues. The exercises are very well chosen & explained, guiding you through the trial copy of the ArcGIS software, which is included in this textbook & enables you to achieve a very good basic knowledge. Good enough to make you want more!!
