Fun and interesting, but anti-climatic - By: A reader, 17 Jul 2004
This is a refreshing read. It's a nice (non-fiction) story, & Read's writing is endearing - I finished this in one sitting & thoroughly enjoyed it.

I haven't read very much gay writing (hardly any), but I'd expect this is one of the best. As for biography, I welcome this as a change from endless ghost-written C-list celebrity writing. It's a very good book. I read many blogs, & this reads like one - it's always interesting to read about real, ordinary (but very interesting) people.

I'd like to give this book five stars, though it's almost a four, because there are better books (ordinary books, that is, not gay books), & the ending to this is not reallly satisfying.

However, it's engaging & well written, & I enjoyed it.
