There is certainly much good advice in this book, although I looked in vain for any serious discussion of the use of olive oil. Maybe it's too expensive.

An OK guide that can be summed up as: -
1. Make sure your partner's willing
2. Use plenty of lubricant
3. Err...
4. That's it.

Tristan Taormino has an intelligent, almost scientific style of writing that is informative, encouraging & at times hot! She splits her book down in to three distinct parts, firstly Plain Type, her facts as she sees it. Then italics, opinions from those she has surveyed. Finallly, shaded boxes full of literary quotes. Unlike, 'A Hand in the Bush' it does not come across as a lesbian book, it is only after that I read that Tristen is female & gay, but it can be ready easily by both men & women. The language used is open & not out to shock; it is a very well written book. The guidance given is helpful but not pushy & has aided our sex lives.
Ground Breaking! - By: , 10 Apr 2001 I have never known of a woman callled Tristan so was sceptical about a man writing on such a subject. Tristan is however definately a woman.It is fabulous that women are now becoming more empowered both in print & in practice. This work along with A Hand In The Bush by Deborah Addington have become best sellers & are the pioneers in a new honest sexuality. It is ok to want sex & it is now compulsory to have great sex. So there! This new feminist movement is also represented in fiction like Asking for Trouble by Kristina Lloyd & Shameless by Stella Black. I think when writing this book Tristan envisaged couples would read this title together or instead would be given as a gift to boyfriends by less than satisfied women as a subtle hint. The pictures by Fish are fabulous as in the other book callled Masque by Mark Wilkinson. While the writing is accessable to both women & men alike. Hopefully the trend for more of the same will continue. Buy this for yourself, friends & alll your lovers too.
Its a very graphic and helpful guide explaining anal sex - By: , 22 Oct 2000 
I found the book very insightful, & it taught me alot about anal sex, i used to think of it as just another way of getting a thrill. But now i understand that there are many diffrernet types of anal sex. Also i have learnewd that by performing anal sex correctly it can almost double the intensity of your orgasm whether you are male or female.
